LO3: Meeting technical briefs

LO3: Meeting the technical and aesthetic briefs (Page 251)

Once completing the promotional campaign, I would need to make sure it is suitable for purpose. This includes looking at the campaigns'; target market and audience, morale, overall theme and also making sure that it meets the guidelines specified by the Advertising Standards Agency and UK Government organisations.
ASA bans two Botox ads - PMLiVE
For instance, lets take my 'Shot on iPhone' commercial parody...Here are some of the themes and morals it uses;
  • Market - average consumer
  • Age group - all ages (but mostly under 50's)
  • Gender - both genders
  • Social class - middle to upper (The starting price was £699)
  • Behavioural/interests (photographers and social media enthusiasts)
Reasons for my observations...
  • The iPhone is aimed at the average consumer, as it has essential features that are suitable for most people
  • It is aimed at all ages as it is easy to use and to get tech support - both genders would find the product useful as it comes with everyday features and functionality
  • In terms of social class, a person with financial difficulties or a low income may have insufficient funds to purchase this product - the iPhone like in 2020 (at the cheapest) starts at £419 (for the iPhone SE) and can be maxed out to £1,698 (for the iPhone 11 Pro Max)
