Creating a magazine - Front Cover, Double Page Spread and Back Cover.

Creating a magazine
This is my magazine project that we have been working on for about a month now. The name I have chosen for my magazine is "MAX Cinema" - it is an entertainment magazine focusing on the media and IMAX industry - it has a colorful theme and targets many audiences.
MAX Cinema Front Cover-
I have used the movie "JUMANJI: Welcome to the Jungle" as the prime focus for this "edition" of MAX Cinema print magazine. The color scheme is simple and appeals to most audiences. Features such as the ad for British Airways and the "Exclusive" bubble in the center gives it an overall more realistic appearance and aesthetic.
MAX Cinema Double Page Spread-
This double page spread includes "exclusive interviews", "ratings" as well as a couple more ads on display. The use of ads for Apple Computers Inc. and Pepsi-Co is an example of the use of capitalism and commercialism of magazines and their content. The placeholder text I have used throughout the first page of the double page spread is Lorem Ipsum. The use of the content/page guide at the top, which is "Entertainment" catagory, adds a sense of depth and makes the magazine more appealing to read.
MAX Cinema Back Cover-
The back page includes a simple ad for TikTok, a popular online video-sharing service and social media platform, as well as (at the bottom, where you would expect to find it) pricing, a barcode and special offers. The red gradient theme gives the impression of a cinema curtains, like the end of the show (the magazine).

To conclude, the MAX Magazine appeals to audiences 14 and over - shown by the simple use of language and the basic color scheme. The advertisements used throughout, "JUMANJI", "Pepsi", "Macintosh Computers" and "TikTok App" would appeal to a younger audience, 14-25. In addition, the theme is eye-catching and appeals to most people. I have used a series of text-wraps; no text wrap, wrap around etc. as well as color techniques to make the overall magazine much more appealing. The covers where made with Apple PAGES and this documentation was made using Google Blogger.
